Dust explosibility testing is the starting point for a reliable explosion risk assessment at a facility.
Its purpose is to determine whether a specific dust is explosive, which is directly related to its ability to form explosive dust atmospheres. Such testing constitutes one of the first steps necessary for the correct assessment of explosion risks associated with industrial processes carried out at the Plant.
Understanding dust explosibility parameters enables the implementation of effective technical and/or organisational protective measures, ensuring safe operation at the facility where explosive dust atmospheres may occur.

Dust sample collection and delivery.
Not sure where, how, or from which location to collect and secure a dust sample?
All necessary guidance is provided during the order placement process. We assist in identifying the appropriate sampling location within the facility or process equipment, determining the required sample quantity, and ensuring proper sample protection to obtain reliable test results. Prepared dust samples may be sent to us by courier. Alternatively, our experts can collect the sample directly at your facility or collect a prepared sample from your facility.

How to reduce the costs of dust explosibility testing?
Testing can be carried out in stages, focusing only on those explosibility parameters identified earlier as essential for your facility. If subsequent stages prove unnecessary because the dust is not explosive, you will only be charged for the completed stage.

What does the test report include?
The report is provided in both electronic and hard-copy formats. It contains a concise description of the test procedures performed and the results obtained.
What is the turnaround time for test results?
The turnaround time depends on the number and complexity of the tests but typically does not exceed two weeks from the delivery of the dust sample. The maximum completion time is agreed during order placement.
